On the twenty-fourth
day of May, 1957, the graduating senior cadets received their diplomas.
On that same day Pillsbury Military Academy closed its doors not
to open them again for the next Senior Class or the next. As for
the dedication of one hundred and two years of the life of Pillsbury
Academy, it will receive no diploma, but it will not go unrewarded.
Though there
will be no succeeding graduating cadets, there will always remain
the spirit of a great institution.

THE OLD ACADEMY
BUILDING

Many were the cadets who spent hours in this building and its
class rooms, the chemistry lab, the auditorium, the secret stairs
(we thought) to the tower. Was a cow really put up in the tower?
Remember the smell of the wooden floors and the bugjuice used
to keep them clean?
The building was also the site of the administration offices
and the library. |
